Information, not advice
Everything on this site — the guides, the Q&A, the timeline, the comparison tables, the assessment tools and their scores — is general information and education about the Football Governance Act 2025 and the Independent Football Regulator. It is not legal advice, regulatory advice, or advice of any kind to you or your club, and it is not a substitute for taking professional advice on your club's specific circumstances. We are not the Independent Football Regulator and are not affiliated with or endorsed by it. Where a decision matters, check the Act itself and the regulator's own publications, which are always the authority.
Accuracy and change
We work hard to keep the content accurate and traced to primary sources, and we correct errors when we find them. But the regime is new and evolving: rules, guidance and dates change, and content on this site may be out of date at the moment you read it. We don't guarantee that anything here is accurate, complete or current, and you shouldn't rely on it as if it were.
The assessment tools
The readiness assessment, ODSE self-check and checklists are self-assessment aids. Their scores and outputs reflect only the answers you give and the simplified logic of the tools; they are not a prediction, assurance or determination of how the regulator will assess your club or any individual.
Templates and downloads
The toolkit templates are free to download and use within your own club or organisation, including adapting them to your needs. You may not sell them, republish them, or offer them (adapted or not) as part of a competing product or service. They are starting points, not finished governance: adapt them with appropriate care and advice.

The content, design and tools on this site belong to Fideo Global. Quotations from the Football Governance Act 2025 and other legislation are Crown copyright, reproduced under the Open Government Licence v3.0. You may link to any page of this site, and quote reasonable excerpts with attribution.

We link to other sites — the regulator, legislation.gov.uk, clubs, news coverage — because they're useful, not because we control or endorse them. Their content is their responsibility.
